• If an applicant is not registered in Alaska, completion of an Arctic engineering course will be necessary to become registered.
• Salaries are based on an hourly wage. Hours worked in excess of forty hours a week are paid at a time and one-half rate. Wages are established according to experience.

Electrical Engineer

Job Description: NHTI is seeking a self-starting individual who is familiar with engineering standards and regulatory codes. This individual must be capable of designing monitor and control systems, single-phase and 3-phase power, DC power, power generation, and communication systems.

• P.E. - If not registered in Alaska, applicant must become registered within the first year of employment.
• Five (5) years of experience in power, monitor and control, and generation design preferred.
• This position will require limited travel.
• Overtime will be required.

Structural Engineer

Job Description: NHTI is seeking a self-starting individual who is familiar with engineering standards and regulatory codes. This individual must be capable of designing foundations, designing communication buildings, and designing additions and remodels for existing structures. Experience in pile foundations and environmental remediation is a plus.

• P.E. - If not registered in Alaska, applicant must become registered within the first year of employment.
• Five (5) years of experience in structural with some civil design preferred.
• This position will require limited travel.
• Overtime will be required.

Mechanical Engineer

Job Description: NHTI is seeking a self-starting individual who is familiar with engineering standards and regulatory codes. This individual must be capable of designing fuel systems and HVAC systems. Experience in plumbing and process piping is a plus.

• P.E. - If not registered in Alaska, applicant must become registered within the first year of employment.
• Five (5) years of experience in fuel systems and HVAC design preferred.
• This position will require limited travel.
• Overtime will be required.
