Civil Engineer
The Engineering Department currently has an opening for an entry level Civil Engineer.
Job Description: Individual will be responsible for development of basic to moderately complex designs for telecommunications projects, evaluations of support facilities, and design of steel, concrete, and wood structures. Interacts daily with supervisor, multi-disciplinary design staff, CAD section, project managers, and customers. Some travel throughout the state required.
Education: BS degree in Civil Engineering.
Desired Skills: Candidate needs to have the ability to become licensed in the state of Alaska. Familiarity with AutoCAD is required. Individual must possess strong orgizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Surveying experience is a plus.

- If an applicant is not registered in Alaska, completion of an Arctic engineering course will be necessary to become registered. Salaries are based on an hourly wage. Hours worked in excess of forty hours a week are paid at a time and one-half rate. Wages are established according to experience.
